TEAM NEWS

2nd Team v Derbyshire - Wednesday 31st July 2024

Today the 2nd team played their last cup match of the season against Derbyshire at Chesterfield G C with the county finals on the 6th of September at the Wrekin G C in sight.

Unfortunatley we did not get a win or a halve we lost 6 - 3. However we have only gone and got to the county finals in September as we have won 3 matches out of 4 and Derbyshire and Shropshire have both lost 2 and won 1.

I would like to thank every player who have played in the team so far as you have all played your part for us to reach the final. Lets bring the trophy home in September.

2nd Team v Derbyshire  - Wednesday 24th July 2024 

On Wednesday the 2nd team took on Derbyshire at Trentham GC.

The sun started to shine in the morning but soon changed to drizzling rain for most of the day, however, it did not stop our ladies as we came away with a victory 61/2 - 2/12

A great result and another successful day on the golf course, well played all.

Thursday 11t h July 2024 - 2nd Team v Shropshire

The 2nd team took on Shropshire today in their 2nd Cup match at Oswestry G C.

I only have one word for today's result FAAABBBBBULOUS!!!

The ladies represented Staffordshire in true style playing in the miserable weather and only went and won 7.5 - 1.5, well played all, absolutely amazing.

Tuesday 2nd July 2024 - 2nd Team v Shropshire

Our 2nd team cup compaign started today with the 1st match against Shropshire at Whittington Heath Golf Club.

The team played awsome today with a 7-2 win. The morning foursomes saw a 3-0 win followed in the afternoon with a 4-2 win in the singles. Well played everyone an amazing day.

Saturday 29th June 2024 - 2nd Team v Warwickshire

Today the 2nd team played a friendly match against Warwickshire at Leamington GC with a result of a friendly half.

At lunch we had won the foursomes 2-1 and lost the singles 3 1/2 - 2 1/2. A fantastic achievement by the ladies, well done.

Tuesday 14th May 2024 - 2nd Team v Worcestershire 

The 2nd team took on Worcestershire in our 1st friendly of the season, a home match at Whittington Heath.

The foursomes started off in drizzly rain but it seems the rain didn't affect our ladies as we won the morning session 3-0. By lunchtime the rain stopped and stayed away. The ladies went out for the singles, the matches were up and down, the afternoon session was 3-3, which meant we came away with a 6-3 win. 

Well done ladies, a good win.
